Graphic Design Beyond Limits: Earth 8-8-2 (The Genesis Project)

Thoughts of a Slightly Anti-Social Socialite

Earth 8-8-2: The Genesis Project!
#Still99CentsOnKindle

What’s cooking? Da’Kharta here.

There is so much work that goes into writing, but what about the work beyond writing? Not just coming up with the book cover but also the book trailer.

Today, I have Part One of a Two Part Series entitled “Graphic Design Beyond Limits.” It features the architect of the trailers for both Earth 8-8-2: The Genesis Project and Boundless Limits: Transcendent Choice (Book One).

I asked the founder of All Authors Graphic Design the same set of questions for both book trailers. This day will focus on Earth 8-8-2; the following day, Boundless Limits.

Let’s get started!

1. Did you need to read the stories at all to generate the type of images you wanted to incorporate? If so, how many times did you read them?

Yes, I did. While the authors gave me highlights on what…

Facebook Marketing

Epsilon Weblog

The book I read to research this post was Facebook: Facebook Marketing by Adam Richards which is a very good book that I bought from kindle. This book is around 45 pages so is quite short. It tends to cover territory covered in other books and there isn’t a lot new here. It mostly looks at marketing for a business on facebook. You need a personal and business pages. You have to bear in mind you are the administrator for these pages and as such have to distribute information consistently. You can use hootsuite or sprout social to send out updates at specific times. Don’t forget there are over 800 million members and you have to stand out. One way is word of mouth always do the right thing by your customers and remember they are your ambassadors. Also send out messages promoting your company. You can pay with paypal…

Managing Manure: How to Store, Compost, and Use Organic Livestock Wastes, by Mark Kopeck

Blogging for a Good Book

ManagingManureHaving farm animals is fun. They are cute and fun to watch, but (to put it as delicately as possible) they, um, poo a lot. Managing Manure may be about an impolite topic, but to those of us who live in the long-polluted Chesapeake Bay watershed it is an important one.

Apart from the obvious problems involving shoes, manure is, as author Mark Kopecky puts it, “Brown Gold”.  From Managing Manure I learned that much of the nutrients a farm animal eats are excreted.  For example, an average of 70 to 80 percent of the nitrogen goes right through, so manure is vital for recycling nutrients.

Based on solid research from many universities, Managing Manure is filled with practical information aimed at small farmers and gardeners. It does have some mild humor, such as a chapter sub heading of “Number One or Number Two?” but generally takes its important subject very seriously…

El Space--The Blog of L. Marie

Children’s Book Week poster illustrated by the awesome Grace Lee

I love the idea of a week dedicated to promoting books for kids. After all, A Wrinkle in Time, a book written for kids by Madeleine L’Engle, is what started me on the path to becoming a writer. I was eight years old when I read it, because of the significant adults in my life. My parents were, and still are, readers. They read to fairy tales to me at night and provided books by Dr. Seuss and P. D. Eastman to encourage my brothers and me as we learned to read.

Now , that’s hands-istock-infant-holding-mothers-hand-bwa perfect start . I have been struggling , thinking , re-thinking , going back and forth about posting my first blog post . and what better way to start , then beginning with the person , life first began with .

Are All Muslim’s Terrorists?

Insight To a Youthful Mind

FORBIDDEN. FORBIDDEN.

Are all Muslims terrorists?

There is a common misconception within the Western world today in their regard to Muslims. What is this misconception? This misconception is a belief that ALL Muslims are terrorists; that ALL Muslims are suicide bombers; that ALL Muslims encourage the actions of ISIS; that ALL Muslims agree with the public execution of Charlie Hebdo.

I’m here to tell you that ALL of these beliefs are wrong.

Islam comes from the route word Salaam, which means peace. The name of our very religion promotes peace. One of the fundamental aspects of our religion is peace !But, alas we are all painted with the same brush by the west. Through propaganda, movies, social media and the Internet, they have ensured that Muslims are hated, feared and regarded with suspicion everywhere they go. It is time for this to stop.

Terrorism is defined as an act of terror…
